Shiplap and Stone on the Mesa

A ground-up rebuild on the Santa Barbara Mesa — white shiplap and stone, black steel windows, and a light-oak kitchen that folds all the way open to the lawn. I shot it through the afternoon and stayed for twilight, because the moment the lights come on and the sky goes violet is when this house really shows itself. The stone garage out front rolls up into a surf lounge, which might be my favorite room on the property. Easily one of the most fun homes I've photographed on the Mesa.
